Bands Make Her Dance – Days 01 & 02{0}
As in years passed – the Doublenauts and I packed up and headed off to Chicago for the Flatstock poster show / Pitchfork Music Festival. This year the boys brought along Ross who is a very talented young designer from Ottawa who is spending the summer in Toronto working with the guys at 132 Oss.

As we do every time we go to Chicago, we hit up the Pick Me Up, found our hotel and passed the F out after a long day behind the wheel.

–
Ross (aka Bone Daddy, Supreme Overlord of the Bone Zone) and I had to kill some time before meeting the boys at the festival so we got outrageously day-drunk at The Twisted Spoke.

Stacey Rozich on the cover of The Chicago Reader. Cool.

We got to the park and I made it my first order of business to get myself a corn dog from The Chicago Diner…

…a cold pop and a beer coozie from The Bubble Process, who we always share a tent with. Sean & Rez are two super rad dudes and I always look forward to hanging out when we get to Chicago.

Unfortunately our bud Karen couldn’t make it this year, but we know that she was there in spirit.

Now, while Ross and I were gettin’ handsome at the Twisted Spoke there was torrential downpour outside which, as I’m sure you can imagine, isn’t the most of ideal conditions for selling paper products. The ever looming threat of more rain made for a long and slow day.

U Nappin’ Bro? #CaughtNappin

We ended the night at some lesbian karaoke bar but the night ended before Aner and I had the opportunity to perform our rendition of Skid Row’s Youth Gone Wild.

The lesbians of Chicago missed out BIG TIME that night, but you don’t have to. Watch this…
…but imagine it done way better by two of the coolest cats of all time.
